You need a sharp looking website that your patients and clients can find easily on Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
After a lifetime building your reputation in the community and with your peers, you realize not having a website can have a negative impact on your credibility. Some prospects shopping for someone with your skill set might be turned off if they see you don’t have a website. They’ll wonder why you didn’t keep up with the times… the next thing they might think is, if you didn’t keep up with your marketing, did you keep up with your professional skills?
No one uses phone books anymore
Customers, clients, B2B associates, and prospects want to “Google You” from their iPhone and then they want to press your phone number to call you. They don’t have time to dial your number and besides, dialing phone numbers is more error prone anyway. Finding you on Google is faster, more efficient, and it gets you more calls.
How It Works
When prospects and clients type your location and specialty on Google, they see the top 10 results Google has on the results page. It’s called a SERP or Search Engine Results Page. The #1 ranked result can get as many as 40% of the clicks and the #2 result can get somewhere between 8% and 15% but of course these numbers vary hourly and day by day. Every result on that first page gets clicks… surfers rarely go to the 2nd page or 3rd page looking for a relevant result. The point is that it behooves you in a business sense to be on that 1st page of results in a Top 10 position. The higher you get to the top the more business you can generate.
